On July 5, 2012 through July 17, 2012 the Amherst Middle School in Amherst, New Hampshire will host 30 students and three teachers from Chongqing, China, a city of 28.8 Million people, located along the Yangtze river in Southwestern China. This blog will document the experiences of both our host families and the Chinese students as we work to develop a deeper understanding of each other's countries and cultures.
Thank you Linda and Deb for calling us to check on progress this morning. All is well. Joyce and Grace have very interesting food choices. Grace ate a roast beef, mustard, and jelly sandwich for lunch. Very funny! They are off shopping looking for bathing suits and who knows what else!
Thank you Deb for calling to check on our progress. The boys seem to be adjusting well. After the wonderful BBQ yesterday, we took the boys home to settle in. In the evening we went to the Asian store on 101a to pick up a few snacks. For breakfast the boys didn't want any pancakes, they enjoyed toast, beef franks and scrambled eggs with chocolate milk! We did manage to get to Hampton Beach today. The boys loved the water slides. My boys are trying to teach them Amercian football and wiffle ball. No interest in shopping yet!
